Publishing proposals.

Chaniartoon Press accepts proposals for comics projects and comics scripts.

Our publishing programme is limited and projects are selected according to strict editorial and aesthetic criteria. Submitting a proposal does not imply acceptance or an intention to publish.

We are interested in work with a clear personal identity, coherence between content and visual approach, and a developed understanding of comics as a medium.

Before submitting, we recommend becoming familiar with the Chaniartoon Press catalogue and its editorial character.

Comics

For projects that already have visual material, whether completed or at an advanced stage of development.

ASSESSMENT

What we consider.

Every proposal is considered as a whole: narrative quality and consistency, personal identity, visual quality, the relationship between image and storytelling, the maturity of the proposal, and its relevance to the Chaniartoon Press catalogue.

The number of titles we can publish each year is limited. For that reason, even strong proposals may not be able to enter our programme.

BEFORE SUBMITTING

Please do not send.

Standalone ideas without a sufficiently developed project.
Proposals that are not for comics.
Files without creator details and a basic presentation.
The same project repeatedly without a substantial change or new version.

There is no need to send a printed copy. Initial assessment is digital.
